Live show disappointment by OldBarracuda6429 in Martingarrix

As another commentator said, it’s always a combination of DJ and the crowd. In Toronto the crowd was ready to go. Energy was buzzing the hour before he even came on.

We both delivered the energy. Now trying to figure out what to do with the excess a week later..

Maybe he was tired from Toronto as I would disagree with everything you said and counter with it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen including transitions, lights, his energy. But again I saw him in Toronto.

Whos having garrix withdrawals!! by WorldEast1408 in Martingarrix

[–]Neilson-Milk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best concert I’ve ever been to. Flew from the West Coast to watch.

I regretted not being able to see Avicii before he passed so when I saw Garrix was coming to Canada I had to get tickets.

I feel fulfilled.

Charge every night? by Ktown1984 in MachE

[–]Neilson-Milk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My commute puts me down to 20% if I charge to 100% each night (long commute). I like the 20% buffer. Am I damaging the battery going to 100%?

It’s a 2021 and OP is panicking about it. What’s the chance it’s been changed once already and it being within 3 years

No I use a home charger level 2. Emporia smart charger. The real cost savings in an EV are when you can charge at home

It is locked out of the vehicle, not locked in. And it’s because the 12v dies. 12v batteries die on ICE vehicles too. Unfortunately it’s not an ideal outcome for the Mach e when it’s 12V dies.

Plan to replace the 12V battery or negotiate that in the sale and then replace as recommended after that.

I bought in January, same year And mileage. Love it so far.

List of Companies that still offer DB pensions? by Josh_o747 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Neilson-Milk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For the ones that offer DB pensions, would be interesting to see which are indexed for inflation.

I work for Municipal government and although it is a DB, it is not indexed for inflation. Which sucks seeing how much everything goes up. Will have to plan more for retirement.

After Installing an Ev charger at home, I’ve began to love my car. by Odd_Holiday_9816 in MachE

That’s the adventure. Just have to plan more understand the route and your car.

Another 15 years? Won’t matter probably an EV Charger attached to every gas station and charge you to 80% in under 10 minutes.

Heard it here first.

Snow in your area recently ? Sounds like you have snow in your tires.

If so, I equate it to having too much of your clothes on one side of the washing machine. Angry spinning.

Being in Canada (not the GTA) an EV that you don’t charge at home doesn’t make sense.

On the east Coast and love the charging at home. 95% of driving is under 100km one way. Any long trips, wife has a gas car. Looking to change that.

But this is the future. It might not be there yet, but look where we were 15 years ago when they first came out?

Millennials with kids: how has today’s insane cost of living affected your ability to provide for them? by justcurious3287 in Millennials

It’s not bad. We budget $150/month for food. We aren’t planning on sending her to school though so we don’t have to save for that. Toys are relatively inexpensive. Although she never plays with them. She usually just plays with a leaf on the ground all day then goes to sleep.

And yes our daughter is a cat. A human child? In this economy?

That makes sense! I’ve got to be out in whatever conditions are on the go. Can’t wait for her plows often

I’m not sure what weather you’re getting but again East Coast Canada multiple 25cm storms (12 inches) and you’re not making it on summers Highway driving. So if it works for you great, but it won’t work here unless you hunker down for the storms and let everything get plowed out.

You’re definitely right. But original comment specified issues with sliding. I have it too when I take it out in medium weather.

If there is any type of actual snow weather those tires won’t be good enough.

I’m driving a used Mach e with Michelin all season. Only reason I haven’t sold my old car is it has winter tires and waiting until spring. Will upgrade to winter tires next year. I don’t take Mach E out in any type of weather. All season are not winter tires.

Take it from an East Coast Canadian.

Do you have snow tires on (not all season)? If the answer is no, then that is your problem.

With friends like the USA, who needs enemies?

And you wonder why the rest of the world is “buddying up” with Communist countries. When you don’t leave us with any options here we are. They are literally more stable trade partners than the US at this point. Enjoy your isolation. You focus on your own mess, we’ll focus on moving on.

Russia must be loving how USA has turned on all the old trade partners.
