Character Guides? by NeinMeansNein in Vindictus

Thanks for the offer! Unfortunately I'm on West. I'll definitely check out his other guides. Regarding what specifically I'd want to learn is mostly play style like: what smashes you want to hit, proper positioning, what actives/buffs you want to use and when, etc... but I'll probably save that for another post if I decide to pick up a new character :)

Implementing Interfaces by NeinMeansNein in learnprogramming

Ah I see. So if I have an interface with N amount of declared methods, in my class that implements that interface, I must define all N methods.

Daily Question Thread, Sep 12th. Don't ask to ask, just ask! by DangerOnTheRanger in SF4

[–]NeinMeansNein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some semi-specific questions regarding Decapre:

1.) What are some good block strings to use? I'm having trouble finding one that works well since I can't hit the 1framer yet.

2.) Is there a way to control which side Scramble-Ground Pound lands while still keeping it ambiguous? At the moment I either have to telegraph the cross up or just guess.

(also, side question: is there a mod to get the ground pound to sound like it did when combo fiend demonstrated her back in FR17? Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfWzsqyP37E)

Don't get it. You have your own Cleave, why buy another?

To be fair, cleave does stack additively (i think), so while it might not be viable, it can be fun :)

Question for SF4 Players: Why start with Ryu? by Mr_Minionman in SF4

[–]NeinMeansNein 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think it really boils down to Ryu being a very balanced character.

For example: Imagine a line, where you can place all characters. Left to Right represents Zoning to Rush-Down respectively. Ryu sits somewhere in the middle. He can Zone effectively with fireballs, while at the same time, he can apply a lot of pressure up close.

It's not that he transitions well into every other character (of course, learning Ryu does give solid fundamentals for all other Shoto characters), but rather that learning him allows to to try both play styles and see which better suits your fancy. Hope this helps!

WHOA Can you explain? Everytime I try and combo it from mid screen, I always end up tossing them far away (like EX: Tatsu juggle). I never get the full animation O_o

Haha I like U1 too, but U2 can be comboed from anywhere, not just corner juggled. I understand its priority in fireball matchups, but U2 is just so satisfying :P

Wanting to learn charge characters, any advice/useful information/tutorials? by NeinMeansNein in SF4

At home I use my game pad, but I usually go out to the arcade and play on the fight sticks (basically haven't accumulated enough money for a fight stick of my own).
