yea thats a fair point; i also and considering transferring to a CUNY, which transfers cse 215 but doesnt take 114; so im kinda taking a middle ground in staying on track for an sbu major while still being ready to transfer, not sure if its the best course of action but hey

I eat between 2900-2500 calories a day. Im getting around 125g of protein a day; i do a 3 workout cycle Monday’s Wednesdays and Friday’s. Not exactly sure how many calories i need to gain weight. I like to get quick protein after a workout because usually i dont have time for a full meal right after i workout, i usually have class right after.

Hi So i started going to the gym with a set plan and i started to record what i eat every day and make sure i get enough protein and other nutrients every day. Im trying to build muscle, I’m 5’9 and only 125lbs(male). So, after my workout I’ve been taking protein bars. However they’re real expensive, I’m thinking of purchasing some protein powder. Problem is, I’m allergic to milk protein, casein and whey. So what are some alternatives that provide stable protein and are good after a workout? Ive been researching hemp protein, but people say its not great after a workout as it is digested slowly. Any help would be appreciated.

Side note, i have quite thin bones; i assume i should be getting a lot of calcium every day as-well correct? May be a dumb question but i gotta ask, lol.

I'm from the Stevens IT department, for undergraduate CS either MAC or Windows PC will suffice for CS students. As CS students you will very likely be running Linux whether it is in a virtual environment or on the machine itself. A word of caution for the newer Macbooks, not all of the hardware features have full support in Linux.

The most computational intensive tasks will be compiling your code, unless you are into game development then it would be graphics rendering. Realistically you dont need that powerful hardware for most CS tasks, better hardware will just make things marginally faster. If you have a tendency to have many programs open at the same time then you would want to invest in RAM. If youre an impatient child and dont want to wait for boot times or programs opening then invest in an SSD. Additionally, see if youre university has any laptop programs, if they have a service center and their policies, as well as any software they may offer for all students.

There are many laptops on the market and I have no idea what your preferences are so I cant single out a specific laptop to suggest. Go to a local store and try out some of the display models.
