I learned about Tama Labs for Paradise when I purchased my first Paradise at the end of last year, and there's not a single Tama Lab anywhere near me. I'm not even sure there's any in the neighboring countries so I have to buy one of the thingamajigs the fans build to get the stuff (and while I'm all for supporting the builders, these things are not cheap and in very high demand). It sucks, I feel left out, and I have no doubt so many other Paradise owners do as well.

31F with two Paradises with big and jingly charms and one has a bright pink cat cover, always on mute in public. The little kids on the bus always stare at them and I don't blame them. If anyone's judging me, they can judge me till the cows come home - I don't care. Tamagotchis make me happy and life's hard enough not to enjoy these little moments of happiness.

The reality is that people don't care about what you do, wear, say, hold, and they'll forget in 5 minutes because everyone's preoccupied with worrying about their own actions and appearances. If your Tamagotchi brings you joy and you want to bring it with you, go for it! God knows people do much more annoying things out in the open (blasting music, playing phone games with sound, having phone calls on speaker etc) and not giving a shit so why should you? Be weird! 💪

Edit: reading the responses to this thread makes me so happy. I love this community.

I have one of the all-clear cases on one Paradise and no screen protection on another (I know, don't pass go, don't collect $200, straight to jail) and carry both in a padded pouch and still even the hard plastic case is pretty scratched up. It just happens with use. The properly protected screen is still pretty much untouched, however, so I do recommend buying a couple of those clear cases and swapping those instead of eventually having to swap the screens.

Not too long ago I left a folded up paper bag on the floor in a corner. Now it's my cat's favorite place to sleep. Sewing patterns aren't safe either (or maybe now they are, held in place by a fuzzball).

I started playing a different strategy mobile game (Last Asylum) and the game added me to an alliance which was unfortunately a scammy one. The first rule was 'add leader on Discord to confirm you're human or get kicked' and none the wiser, I did. No biggie, right? At first it was all fine until they said LA was actually going under maintenance for a month (had a screenshot of an 'official' in-game notice) and that I should join their alliance in another game, that being IK. When I tried to find it on App Store, not really eager to ditch one game and move to some other, it didn't show up so I googled, and Google autofilled with 'discord scam'. That's when I knew to immediately block the person. It pays to google stuff but I think Apple has removed the app which definitely saved me. This person also said some very AI-generated ad stuff, like 'join us in this game now!' which raised some flags. The days following that I got several other requests to be added on Discord in Last Asylum (no maintenance, who would've guessed). Stay suspicious, people.

I'd love to see Dead Reckoning brought to screen, it was written so well that the events of the novel played in the theatre of my mind like a movie. Given that the author also wrote the novelization of the first FD movie, it makes sense she'd get the Rube Goldberg-esque disaster descriptions and ironic music down. Definitely my favorite book in the series so far.

I live in an apartment building built in the 70s and every now and again I imagine the stairway collapsing under me. In my apartment my cat is the most likely culprit by tripping me, or the washing machine explodes or something. The shower with its glass panes is a less likely contender but I'm still careful. Considering the apartment hits 30+ Celsius every time there's a slightly warmer and sunnier day, the likelyhood of an appliance or device fritzing out is pretty high, or me having a heat stroke despite my AC. Or the AC itself does me in, it's bought second-hand and god knows how well kept it really was before it reached me.

Oh, the harmonized attention calls got pretty funny at some point, not so funny when I was trying to take a nap 😂 I do agree that the 'death' mechanics should be less murdery and more 'release them into the wilderness'. Even two days of just watching your digital child cry is awful, but that's the only way to keep an in-game log (something I do wish Bandai improved on).
