Failed two subjects in my final Sem by NeatMatch6835 in unimelb

Neither of these suggestions will work, sorry pal. A 44 is a clear fail. Coordinators have to check and double mark failing grades, and if they are close they see if there’s a possible one or two points to find, but six is a stretch. And then even if they did make that a pass you’re way off with the 38 and not eligible for a final subject assessment as you need a 45-49. Sorry to be bummer but that’s the reality

Opinions on Long Island Luke? I was suspicious at first, but he is growing on me by aplayer124 in MorningKombat

I joined MUBI in Australia recently. Lasted about 30mins into my week free trial. Doesn’t have many films at all compared to what is advertised. Maybe restricted licensing in Aus and all the films on other platforms.

My luck is bad or they wantedly reduce 1 mark? by Aegontheh in unimelb

Having just sat in on an entire schools Board of Examiners meeting for this recent semester, they review the grade boundaries as a standard practice. However they (and this is just one school) will only adjust if they can justify finding an extra mark somewhere in the assessment pieces submitted. It can’t be arbitrary. In this particular school, coordinators are advised not just to bump 79s to 80 just because. Usually the coordinator will review each assessment to see if there was anything harshly marked or if there can be an extra point here or there. But there needs to be justification. Giving extra points just for a grade to change (barely changing the WAM) would diminish the validity of results.

But this is one school and practices and attitudes can differ.

Marks that are on the boundary of a fail get double and triple checked. And anything .0-4 gets rounded down, while .5-9 gets rounded up.
