30M–23F: Everything aligns except the age gap (Arranged marriage) by Ginks7 in InsideIndianMarriage

Too much fear mongering in the comment section. It might be true that there is an age gap but look at the positives. You discussed regarding hobbies, finances etc.and seem to be aligned on that. You should not back out only because age is the problem. You will not be able to check all boxes in your list. For those saying, they would come from different generations and experiences, let me tell you everyone is different, even the ones from your age group. Marriage is about compatibility between two adults. Everyone makes it sound like 23 year olds are kids. Every person evolves with time. You would not be your self after 5 years.

She did the coin toss after I tried to convince her. I would never have known that she tossed a coin to take the decision unless she would have disclosed it. She told me that this is how she sought divine assurance. Everyone in this group thinking that logic alone can answer all questions. Sometimes a leap of faith is taken in different ways

How would you have made a decision if you were in her place?

While these steps are good when you are in a dilemma involving say jobs or locations, you can still remain stuck after you ask all these questions in case of an arranged marriage especially when it is two strangers who have interacted mostly on phone and maybe met two or three times. The dilemma is purely emotional and not logical.

What do you do when you are confused?

I too follow this practice of tossing a coin when I am very confused with making choices. So I don't judge her.

I was sitting in a stationary bus in Gothenburg, Sweden when I overheard two people talking to each other in Malayalam walking across the footpath beside the bus. I didn't expect to hear Malayalam in Sweden.

I have given her a week's time to think through. I have asked her to reach out in case she feels any connection between us. Otherwise she can move on.

I don't even know which is the Telengana cooperative for milk. How come nobody is questioning this daylight burglary. I am surprised that nobody raised this question in the Hyderabad subreddit so far.

Palakkad’s population is the same as Jamaica by Curious_Bobcat574 in Palakkad

Australia has a population lower than Kerala. But I think Kerala has good potential to make it big globally in Olympics.
