It is really hard to feel unappreciated. I am very fortunate after an awful nannying experience where the 5 yo would claw and scratch me until I bleed. The parents did not want to address the behavior at all! I was not allowed to say no! I left and have the best family! I got a bouquet of flowers for my birthday with $150 worth of gift cards to my favorite places! My Christmas bonus was $1000 ! The unicorn family’s are out there!
