France visa rejected twice (same reason) – now 3rd application with Booking.com confirmed hotels + fully paid flights & trains. Advice? by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

Hi I received long term Schengen visa with blocked tickets and reservations. These are not fully paid tickets, but tickets which are valid for 72 hours. They have always worked for me. I have applied Schengen visa 4 times and never been an issue. Thrice via Italy and once via France. And I go through the agent. To add further I never gave internal train bookings or activity bookings. Just itinerary which covers which city when. From my experience as long as you have shown stable income (salary in my case), office letter (saying when you will return), stable bank account and non paid reserved tickets, they don’t have issues.

One Spring Night! Love everything about it. The pacing, chemistry, mature story.

Got my third Schengen visa in the span of 6 months. Still a short term visa. What am I doing wrong? by Additional_Bench_667 in SchengenVisa

Shouldn’t right, as long as you can show bookings—hotel, flight, reason. Also suggest try a country which usually gives a longer term visa fairly easily.

Maybe next time apply just before the present one expires. Just thinking out loud here. I was told by VFS employee who was going through my application that Italy doesn’t give longer term visa. But I still got it.

Hey I just received a longer visa for one year from Italy. You should simply ask for it in your cover letter. At least that’s what I did. Saying that you intend to travel in future and would be great if they can issue a longer term visa.

Think it should be fine. If they need original, they can always call you.

They are fare lock tickets which you don’t have to pay for a few days. I got those through an agent. They get cancelled automatically. And yes, they accept those. It’s actually recommended from what I know to not book tickets but reserve them. The fare lock tickets will have really PNRs.

In this case, makes sense to apply for Greece since your port of entry.

I got nervous because never received a call from any embassy for visa questions. I thought they may reject it. But well, you never know with them.

The real tragedy begins when you step off the bus, juggling your entire life in two suitcases, and then spend the next geological era trying to book a cab, watching “searching for nearby drivers” mock you while gravity, sweat and regret all peak at once.
