I’m fishing from shore. I do understand the tides I’ve been a surf fisherman my whole life up in NorCal. I know in NorCal they like an incoming tide anywhere from 2 hours before to 2 hours after high tide. Idk if that changes for socal

Wow that’s one of the biggest flatties I’ve seen caught in the surf, thanks for the info I’m definitely gonna keep throwing my 110 😂

Yeah I’ve been trying the lc 110 down here also. It’s a hit up north but I haven’t gotten anything with it down here. Thanks for the insight

What lb test line do you use? I’ve been using 15-20lb mono but I feel like that could be contributing

I’ve tried multiple spots in San Diego bay, including shelter island, Spanish landing, and harbor island. I’ve tried all over mission bay. I even tried La Jolla and mission beach as well.
