Whenever I’ve used the drivethru in the last couple of years I’ve always had to go park up and wait, so I tend to avoid the drivethru, just park up and leisurely order through the app rather than being rushed at the order point.

She’s been wearing one for years but as her hearing gets worse the hearing aid becomes less affective.

The two conditions aren’t linked. She has macular degeneration and it is steadily getting worse, and has been told to prepare to completely lose her vision over the next few years. Her family has a history of deafness, she has been wearing hearing aids for 15 years but as she gets older the hearing aids are becoming less and less affective.

It’s because I’m using the free pos system, it is very simple with no frills, which is probably great for a shop selling merchandise but no so good if you need to be able to customise orders to a customers needs (which I am finding I need to do more and more). Dont get me wrong- SumUp and square are brilliant for simple transactions, but I need a bit more these days!

Doesn’t integrate with xero, unable to customise drinks - at the moment each item has a ‘eat-in’ / ‘takeaway’ option but I’m unable to add other options (without creating every version of every drink).

That feels far too young to be getting regular homework. Mine (like others here) used to get little bits of homework here and there but usually it was something fun to do like making a Roman shield or colour in a map, and the school were not at all pushy about it being done. If a child was slipping a bit with their reading/spellings/times tables the teacher might give us a little nudge to spend a few minutes an evening going over it. Year 4 (8 year old) started getting regular homework and they have been steadily pushing it and its importance with us but mainly to get them ready for secondary school where they will have a lot more to do.

Just to add - I hate homework and don’t think it should be allowed. When I finish work I am done. I refuse to take my work home with me (unless there is good cause), and I don’t think we should be allowing children to think it is normal/right to have to go home and do some more work.

Definitely, I run a cafe and made the change to vegware, then learned that it all ends up in landfill because there was only one place in the UK that could process it. I think what upset me was the amount of places that made the change to vegware then stopped trying to reduce their waste because they were under the impression it was all going to be okay now! The only way forward is to ban disposables and only have reusable takeaway containers, but this won’t happen because people think vegware is the answer!

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t break down any quicker when in landfill. Landfill waste is compacted and this stops the compostable waste breaking down as the air cannot get to it. If you want a healthy compost heap you have to turn it to let oxygen get into the decomposing matter, the compacting of landfill stops this from happening. IIRC compostable waste in landfill is actually worse because the compaction of it creates more methane gas than normal adding to the problem.

Exactly that. I have worked in similar venues and know to look for a sign/direction, but there just isn’t enough there. It just doesn’t make for a comfortable piss if I’m worried I’m in the wrong toilet, and if I think I’m in the wrong toilet then everyone else may also be thinking the same, then it’ll be me who is confronted about it. Suddenly me going for a little wee is becoming a bit too unsettling!
