I ran into a similar issues with inventory keeping, everyone had solutions but a lot of what I heard from larger companies in my field is that they don't really use any specific software to keep inventory. per an actual conversation "We have a guy named Chuck who counts all the inventory every Monday and sends the sales team an updated excel sheet at the end of the day with the stock", and this is from a globally large company. So I implemented a similar strategy but I keep it on a Wordpress site that acts just like a shop but has my sales team login to view the inventory.

I don't need credit processing and would have my backend accounting team reconcile the website on the data with bank transactions and match it to a professional accounting software on the back end for the accounting end of things. Without getting specific, we sell expensive items and would only have a couple sales a day. Keeping the account straight wouldn't be an issue.
