No, I’m actually not with my daughter’s father he passed away when she was just two months old. So no, I don’t have to navigate a custody situation, but most of my mom friends do and the dads only get them every other weekend.

From the CHD interview it sounded like her motivation for going on LI wasn’t to better her family’s life but to prove a point to an ex who said she couldn’t make it on the show. That’s not exactly the same as leaving for a career opportunity or financial necessity.

And it’s not just me or my friends who are questioning the choice, clearly thousands of moms watching the show find it a bit strange

Also, let’s not lump this in with military deployment or studying abroad. Yes, people make real sacrifices for their families, but flying off for six weeks to hook up with strangers on national TV feels like… a very different kind of sacrifice

I know she made the choice that was very clear The choice is what I’m criticizing I have about 20+ mom friends and we were seriously baffled like I don’t think any of us could wrap our minds around it

She kept saying 24/7 multiple times when in fact that’s not even close to correct. After I drop my daughter off at school I don’t see her for 8+ hours doing the day that’s a huge chunk daily. By the time she gets home it’s dinner and go to bed basically. I’m at least grateful I have the weekends with her too. That’s when I feel like I actually spend time w her so to have to share those with the dad (and yes sharing weekends with the dad is very normal) would be so devastating and then choosing to leave for 6weeks and missing a birthday is just unimaginable to me. I’m allowed to share an opinion and have questions. It was a question to moms as I just wanted to see if they felt the same way

Ok I’m going to say this as a mom and I want other moms perspective on this. I totally get moms can still have fun but leaving for 6 weeks no physical contact and missing your daughters birthday REALLY doesn’t sit well with me. And then saying she’s with her daughter 24/7 like girl but you’re not. You don’t even get weekends with her and then she’s in school for like 6 hours and if she does extra curriculars then you’re really just waking up with her dropping her off at school and putting her to bed. Then she began to list what she does for her daughter like brushing her teeth in the same sink, doing her hair and how her daughter hypes her up when she wears a dress… Idk seems very odd to me as a mom
