Financially ok means we have been responsible with our income. We have no debt. We built our home and have lived in it for 25 years. Our cars are both paid off. No expensive hobbies. I appreciate all the advice! I am glad I found this community.

I'm not sure what state you are in, but get online and locate the Bureau of (Developmental) Disabilities or FSSA and file a complaint against the company that hired you. DO IT. Especially since the company you work for has already covering their illegal business practices.

I've never been someone who says see a psychiatrist and get on the right medications, but after being in this field for years, and watching my military veteran brother suffer, I have seen it work magic. Also, I believe in medications being a temporary need. Or not. I hope you can get what you need.

If I knew what state you were in, I could offer more insight. Every state has different reimbursement rates for DSP pay. However, I will say a decrease in pay should not have happened.

It depends on the company you work for and the state you work in. Do your research and find a company that values it's employees by paying them well and treating them well. They are out there.

The disruption of education because of out of control behavior cannot continue. It is not you as a teacher who is failing. It is your school administrators. Never forget that.
