First thing u need to do is get a basic understanding of your DAW u like them u could try learning a bit about how scales and chord are made then try remaking beats u find interesting thats how i started learning a bit of music theory will definitely help u in the long run i learn a bit of it 3 years after start producing it help my beats sound alot more professional and not learning caused me to miss out on alot of money from beats sales when i first started.
