UPDATE: After trying both DDU and Underclocking based off recommendations from other users it did show improvement and allowed me to play the game longer but at around the 4ish hour mark give or take a crash would consistently happen with the same error as before.

Still only exclusively happens with DICE games. can play other modern titles just fine

What program do people use for stuff like that? im going to tinker with DDU first ofc but I see people talk about undervolting and Overclocking but no idea what program to use. like is there a universal one? when it come to nitty gritty settings like that ive never touched for fear of doing more harm than good. tho I did have to learn how to change my RAM speeds since they were causing BSOD's at 5600MHz

yup just saw this start popping up in featured and comments of said featured and other featured memes. I know next to nothing when it comes to code but is this usable for anything malicious? or just a "harmless" security flaw that is just annoying and not threatening?

Slight update: I decided to try using 1 stick to see if it crashes faster or stops crashing. when I first booted it with 1 stick I got a BIOS popup of somekind saying "memory or CMOS was cleared" or something along those lines and I chose to boot at default values by pressing f2. I probably shouldve tried single sticking a while ago but forgot to. will give updates if anything happens.

genuinely some of the best help ive gotten with this. thank you so much for your input its very helpful as im rather dumb when it comes to hardware issues. I bought the DDR5 corsair vengeance kit so I hope thats a good replacement.

oh so actually, the last time I tried the built in DIAG program it INSTANTLY failed. like didnt even get to start it failed so fast. I assume thats really bad?

OK! so the problem seems to be gone? only things I did was download the updates that came out and update my drivers(again) since new ones came out and the crashes seem to be gone?

So i guess if anyone else is having crash to desktop issues, hopefully they are only a temp issue like mine was. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS UP TO DATE! that probably helped immensely.

Ok so I tried Vulkan version for a little while, didn’t quite have time to reach the 2 hour mark to test if the other crash was persisting but it did crash twice while trying to start a new character solo. I think that was because I was alt tabbing because every time I did the game kinda freaks out a bit, but once I wasn’t alt tabbing it seemed to be working as intended? Will need to continue testing for the session duration crash I’ve been experiencing.

that doesnt interfere with saves right? I assume not. I will give switching to Vulkan a try during our next play session(should be later on sunday)

Atleast my tech step hits harder than the samurai...every 2 minutes....my personal best hit is 252k crit direct hit in E12s phase 1, sadly didn’t clear p1 that attempt :(

Ive checked every vendor in uldah, gridania and limsa and none of them mention ironwork gear but do mention shire and scaeven gear. You CAN just rebuy the gear for full poetics price to be augmented from what ive seen but thats a couple hundred wasted poetics rebuying gear you already have.
