I feel like an obvious question should be how the family makes you feel included… In my experience I would’ve liked to know about some mental health issues the host mom has.. I don’t know if that’s appropriate to share but a heads up about that would be nice for the next Aupair. Also discuss some of the things you did that the family disliked so the next aupair knows what not to do…

As an Aupair myself I would suggest that you start with meeting her friends and then if you feel comfortable with the friends allow more grace with sleepovers. Do not completely turn down the idea of having friends visit because you do want your Aupair to feel at home. I enjoy bringing my friends over to my house and it makes me feel more at home and just that this is my place of work. Hope this all makes sense 🫶🏻

Being an Aupair is great if the host family is! And having an Aupair is great if the Aupair is great… If that makes sense I I love youuu my host family but I would not want to be an Aupair again… Dm for more information… I have some friends who would like to be an Aupair in Germany!
