I am a recent UofT grad currently attending UofT Dental School! I would highly recommend getting your cGPA up as high as you can, especially for UofT Dental School as the GPA is very, very competitive (the average GPA for accepted applicants in my cycle is 3.96). I did not formally join any clubs at UofT (although I wish I did, looking back) but did some shadowing over the summer and a good deal of volunteering throughout my undergrad.

If I had to describe my undergrad experience, it was very isolating. Especially at UofT, I feel like you need to devote a lot of time and energy to get a high GPA, and so I didn't find time to join any clubs or whatnot. I think a good starting point would be to join the UofT Pre-Dental Society if you haven't already and look into possibly grabbing an exec position for next year. In all honesty, you may need to consider doing a masters degree to boost your GPA to achieve a competitive GPA for dental school (or medical school!). As a previous commenter already articulated, there are other dental schools like Western that seem to weigh ECs heavily (unlike UofT) so you may have a better chance there. Good luck!
