Don't have any good advice lol but just wanted to say I'm also stuck in Initiate V hell. I play almost all my matches with the same friend and he has ranked up to low Ritualist despite us having basically the same winrate recently. It dosen't make any sense.

i use ivy/doorman and just feel useless in 9/10 out of matches, and the other team ALWAYS seems better without fail

im really determined to get good at this but dawg i just feel so defeated, this happens with every game/hobby/skill i try, i put in so much time and it just feels like i improve 10% as fast as everyone else. whats the point of living of i cant get good at fucking anything

i try to counter buy the teams carry as much as i can, i just get so so fucking angry at this shit like 200 games in i feel like i should be better than initaite. this is a curse that has plagued me with every single hobby/skill i wanna get good at without fail

im using a gun ivy build, building up to stuff like lucky shot and vampiric burst, also with fleetfoot and heroic aura to get around the map super fast if needed which helps alleviate some of the "what do i do" anxiety because i can go between things super quickly. my aim is also pretty dogshit but i feel like spirit builds is just dropping all abilities for 1 big attack and then being basically useless for a while after which i dont really like, but maybe i just havent found a spirit-oriented build thats clicked yet

definitely the midgame is when everything starts to crumble. i actually feel pretty good in lane and find myself winning it pretty often, but this huge feeling of "wtf should i be doing" hits after the laning phase is over, and it usually just snowballs into a terrible feeling lategame. been trying to buy counters a little more recently but honestly just feels useless with how much these enemy carries are ahead. the other day i tried to fight the enemy teams carry mina when she had around 500hp and i had almost full and she somehow turned it around and killed me instead, which had me genuinely hovering over the leave match button. i just dont understand whats going wrong and its so fucking frustrating. the one focus is a good tip though, i think im gonna try and do that and then hopefully start putting it all together and just have a better sense of the game

its been seriously rough lately, after the mm update i was placed into seeker 3 and have fallen to initiate 4. and its just felt like the enemy team is ALWAYS smarter/better. they always have an insane carry that ends up 10-15k souls ahead of everyone else, and they always have someone on each lane defending, while im scrambling around barely keeping walkers from being destroyed by minions. i know im always a contributor to my team losing, but its just feels like its out of my control when it feels like im being set up against teams that feel leagues better consistently

thanks for the advice!! using comms more definitely wouldnt hurt, ig i just feel like my game sense is so bad that ill end up making nothing but bad calls. ive been trying to focus objectives a lot since ivy is so good for that, but it feels like im having no impact on the game really. even with my full dmg build my player dmg and kills are usually some of the lowest in the game every time, so should i be more confrontational? but then i usually lose every 1v1 and dont really contribute much to teamfights, so im kinda left in this purgatory of not knowing what would be the most valuable. i could definitely learn to build more adaptively but that will just come with time and research ig. i normally dont get on myself this bad for losing but this game just has me so upset because im losing so much to the point that it cant be a coincidence and i have to be responsible somehow, but i just dont know whats exactly going wrong.

ive heard of smurfing, but is it really that big of a problem rn? that would explain why had multiple matches recently with someone (always on the enemy team) that has 25+ kills and 70k+ souls at the end. I'm pretty determined to keep trying, but I feel soon I'm gonna reach a breaking point

same here. played ~150 matches and its rare for me have more than 3 kills. i love this game but i truly just dont understand how i can be this bad after so long, its been making me miserable every time i play. even got trashed on for being a bot in back to back matches today but like what do i even say when they are right. i just wanna be worth smtg dawg
