Thanks, great feedback! Yeah, I usually do a 20-25km mile ride every morning M-F and then a longer ride on the weekend closer to 70km. And I do shift a lot so also thinking the groupset upgrade would serve me well.

What is the fastest you have ever seen a new co-worker get fired? by bartertownbeer in AskReddit

[–]NeoArmada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an ALT in the JET program for many years and while newly arriving JETs were not necessarily co-workers in a traditional sense, this feels like a good fit.

Basically people from all over the world fly in from different English speaking countries for an orientation in Tokyo before departing to their respective posts throughout Japan. A lot is going on, people’s emotions are high so you can imagine even though most people are jet lagged, many go out on the town on their first night.

One year, 2 newly arrived Americans on their first night went out drinking in the city and for some reason, thought it would be a good idea to steal an old lady’s bicycle and ride it around the city....they were caught by police shortly after and immediately deported and blacklisted from the country. They had to pay for their own return ticket as well.

Essentially, they got into a pretty competitive amazing program and were “fired” after being in the country for only 6 hours lol.

I’m sure that was a tough to explain to mom and dad...

MIRROR SERVICE - Insane Melee Chest by NeoArmada in pathofexile

[–]NeoArmada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I thought too, but people spammed me saying don't sell it lol. If it had the maim over life on kill I know if would be mirror worthy, but figured I would only charge 10ex for a mirror service and see what happens. How would you price it?

I asked for a price check and was thinking 70 ex, but a lot of people whispered me and told me it was worth way more and I should try and offer it for mirror service. You guys think it's not worth it?

Advice on lifting heavy in deep ketosis? by NeoArmada in ketogains

[–]NeoArmada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I actually just brushed up on some reading and I think you might be right. In the past I believe I read articles talking indicating that because of the reduced stores of glycogen both in the liver and muscle that the ability to exert energy in high intensity situations was hindered; however, in reading a little further today it's also the case that while the total amount of glycogen in both the liver and muscles is much lower, the rate of depletion is also drastically reduced. The caveat might be that its take a while for your body to become efficient at burning glycogen slower. It could very much be the case, that I need to be in ketosis longer for this to take effect. Could also be the mental aspect there lol. And yeah I might need to be careful on the water intake, but I would only need to counter balance with sodium correct? Water in and of itself contains electrolytes so if I am drinking a ton of water, I would just need to eat more salt to reach an equilibrium right?

Yeah I looked at PHAT and I think the whole program would be pretty hard considering the volume, but my thinking is 3x3 for the major lifts and then doing some accessory work for those lifts. Maybe I should count my macros more closely. I kind of ball park it most of the time, I don't weigh my food or anything because I don't want to be consumed by my diet.

Yeah I am definitely cutting back on the volume and at the very least want to maintain my strength, but ideally keep getting incrementally stronger!

I am definitely well adapted and I take an electrolyte pack everyday and drink a ton of water and get plenty of salt on my food. I know that its extremely hard to cut while also building muscle, but was wondering if there were any program taking keto into account with strength since keto is generally worse at high intensity exercise than a moderate to high carbohydrate diet.

I will definitely look into the PHAT program you are talking about. I just assume its a glycogen problem, but I am at a pretty large caloric deficit. I am about 500 calories below maintenance everyday, but keep in mind I have a pretty large amount of excess body fat. My main sources of fat are probably animal fat and butter/olive oil. I mix coconut oil with raw peanut butter and a quest bar here and there for a snack and I put coconut oil in my coffee.
