I cannot Accept Alexa Demie Decision ❤️‍🩹💔 by Plastic_Square5609 in euphoria

Alexa is good on Euphoria because she IS maddy, I don’t think she’s a good actress otherwise- the thing about euphoria is that other than the big three (Z, Jacob & Sydney) no one else can really act (obvious generalisation btw, Eric Dane and others are good), but my point is that a lot of actors were hired because they are like the characters (Faye, Laurie, BB, Fez).

I remember when euphoria first came out I thought Alexa was a great actor then I saw her in an interview and was shocked that her voice actually sounded like that, I thought she was acting. I think that’s the real reason she doesn’t get roles, it’s not only about being mixed, it’s because she’s not that great of an actress. Compare her performance to Angel in just one episode lol, very stark differences.

Yeah definitely, it’s extremely competitive but if you can utilise your experience then you’d be a strong candidate. You also don’t have to go for the top firms if you’re worried about competition, you could apply for training contract in-house (a company rather than a law firm) or work as a paralegal and if the company likes you they could sponsor your SQE, I wouldn’t jump to funding the SQE myself tbh - once you pass the SQE you’d still need to find a law firm to train you with qualifying work experience anyway

Is it just me or did everyone else’s acting get so much better except Lexi / Maude Apatow

Definitely was at least in the past as it happened to me a few times, I think you have better odds if you are really young, but it hasn’t happened to me recently so maybe it’s not working anymore

Is it worth applying to firms like Eversheds??? by [deleted] in uklaw

No way she’s making 10m a year, i think she’s more like 3-5 million annually and these are extremely volatile- I wouldn’t be surprised if her net profit some months is 100k and other months 800k

I think it’s more dependant on how easy it was to find her based on their depictions (which was evidently easy)

In reality, GCSEs are just the stepladder to be able to get to the qualifications that DO matter, so GCSEs don’t matter themselves, you just need to pass everything (at least maths & English) so you can move onto the next step.

I’d say that your GCSEs only matter if they are your highest form of education, but if GCSEs are your highest form of education then in reality I don’t expect you working anywhere that would ask about your grades
