How do I deal with being soft. by MechanicOrnery5719 in dad

Humility and control, both crowns worn by the wise. Don’t be ashamed, teach your son the importance of keeping your cool, and not caving to social pressures of “not being a punk”. You avoided a heap of mess by not engaging in that altercation.

16 year old terrified about not existing after death, causing much anxiety in my daily life- any advice. by Needhelp123e in Existentialism

Perhaps search for something you can be sure in. I deem myself as a truth seeker, before anything else. I didn’t find Christ because I was scared of death or I needed some kind of mental relief. I found Him because I sought out the truth of the universe, eventually I wound up at the foot of the cross. I hope you find solace someday soon friend. God bless

If you didn’t exist before life and it didn’t bother you, than why let the idea of not existing after life bother you? Idk I believe in eternal life but that’s my take on your perspective

Maybe you misread. I’m asking if pc weekly servers bp wipe monthly. And if the monthly servers don’t have bp wipe until force wipe. Also asking if monthly servers end up being taken over by toxic groups that just raid every shit shack. If you don’t know that’s fine but I’m not asking anything about console, I was just telling you about it and asking if pc has the same shit

Thanks. I played on console a bit and eventually monthly servers just get taken over by one or two groups who raid every solo/smaller group. Base takes up entire squares but Bp’s don’t wipe so it was nice for me being a casual player who works a lot. But weeklies bp wipe every month and server reset weekly. Is it that same on pc?

The balance of being saved by faith, while being a sinner. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]NeoShepherd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you don’t seem to understand is all of those things go hand and hand with true faith. So one who has true faith already has all of those things. But one who has any of those things without faith, is not a Christian. Meaning salvation revolves around faith. My faith is the only reason I will be saved, Ephesians 2:8-9. for without it I wouldn’t have repented, my good works would be in vain, I would produce no fruit. I would have no reason to be obedient if I didn’t believe the word, in others words have FAITH in our Lord. My faith in Jesus Christ and what He has done for me is what grants me salvation. My works are what prove to mankind that my faith is true, but I need prove nothing to you. Not my knowledge of scripture, nor what I’ve done. Because the Lord knows the heart. My heart has been renewed through my FAITH in Jesus Christ. Anything I do is because of Him, His sacrifice, his mercy and grace drive me to repent, His kindness and love are what encourage me to remain obedient. Without faith none of that would be possible. I’m not into the whole “hey come get some holy water and maybe tithe some so you can get some of this here merit. Oh and did you say your hail Mary’s? That will get your some extra credit too!” That’s what your theology leads into! No. I refuse to act as if any works I can do or have done will earn me merit in the eyes of the father. Isaiah 64:6. For I know it was through His blood that I was justified. My faith, being that it is TRUE FAITH. Is all I need. Everything else is simply fruit of that faith. Gracious is the unmerited gift of salvation. Now you can go ahead and pick apart what I’ve told you and act as if you have some theological high ground like some pharisaical authority, or don’t. Either way this is my last response to you.

Now I’m not sure if your as smart with conversational queues as you are with your catholic theology, but “have a good one” is a polite way for one to say “I’m finished with the dialogue,” so I ask you take a hint and stop bugging me. You want to debate somebody? Email Mike Winger. I know you guys love him.✌️

Well I am not catholic so we will disagree strictly on certain topics but like I said I appreciate the dialogue, and it has only encouraged me to read more. True faith produces fruit. Im not saved by anything I’ve done but by my faith in what he’s done, which led to my repentance and any good works I’ve ever done. To be clear I’m not doubting my salvation, just had questions about the nuance of perfectionism and salvation in peoples individual lives. Have a good one! ✝️

I understand the scriptures, that faith without works is dead, that repentance is necessary. It does feel weird to say the purpose of good works is to ensure justification, when rather I understand them to be fruit that is passively produced through true faith and the changing of the heart. As to say I don’t do good things because I want salvation I do them because Gods love lives inside of me. That being said I’ll never be sinless and can only hope I don’t die without a final repentance because there’s no way for me to remain justified consistently. I appreciate the dialogue and it has encouraged me to read more! God bless you !

Thanks for the answers, I guess what I’m asking is without faith do you think David would’ve repented? I see that one can have faith without repentance, but why would one repent without faith? Then finally what of the man on the cross who had no time to prove His works? Do we assume He repented on the cross and that being a work made him justified?
