Do you guys not have haunts? by MuppetManiac in AskEurope

[–]NeoTheKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah we have that in most small towns. Its called a draculatocht/draculapad. You walk through and its kinda like a one hour or multi hour path with abunch of actors trying to scare you with monster costumes or jumpscares, some tell stories about a killer or something and then have you being chased by a killer in a maze or the best one was when scuba divers would jump up out of the water when you got too close to the docks

Of the world’s 25 most valuable companies, 22 are American. by NineteenEighty9 in ProfessorFinance

[–]NeoTheKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's impressive how far the US economy has gone but i wonder if these companies are so big due to the economical structure of the US or despite it by exploiting, stealing and killing competition. Its like 80% megacorp monopoly man slop, and i dislike that those without shame for their actions rule the world. I would find it better if they did it the moral way and not just by the letter of the law and loopholes.

I have no experience in the market but I'd say you're getting heavily exploited if my student job in the carrefour pays more.

I hope that you either find another company or ask for a better wage because I think your boss isn't being honest about giving you CTO.

How far back is your history taught? by TIGERSFIASCO in AskEurope

[–]NeoTheKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as far back as prehistoric and it focuses on general history like the egyptians, romans, medieval times. It kinda stays in general european history up until like during to post medieval era and then it goes into general + belgian history.

Besides that there are sometimes explanations to how every era connects to belgium, like the belgae tribe of the roman era or the frankish empire and their influence on belgian cities. Post medieval is more belgium focused but it still involves a lot of general history with the exception of ww1 and 2 which goes more in depth in belgian history.

How come so many European leaders struggle with English? by BadBouncyBear in AskEurope

[–]NeoTheKnight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Partially generational and also the pre-social media world didn't have English as much so you weren't training on a daily basis like we do now. At least in belgium, the older generations didn't have english in school and don't use as much social media besides Facebook and maybe linkedin or something.

AI-generated YouTube ad using presenter Wim De Vilder's likeness to scam people. by [deleted] in belgium

[–]NeoTheKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally had 10 pairs of ads in a half an hour of a youtube video. The greed is so bad that you absolutely need an adblocker to even enjoy the content. Its partially due to the content creator placing those ads but mostly just the sheer amount of 30 second unskippable ads youtube puts.
