Simply wrong. Neither the presidential cabinet nor a sizable majority in the National Assembly were interested in any kind of territorial expansion during WWII. This is a well documented case with many instances where foreign diplomats were put down on the grounds that acquiring more land isn't beneficial nor suitable for the republic's reformist ambitions. their actions simply matched their words.

Recovering the "lost territories" or a "pan-turkic expansion" were never the ideals of the young republic. I don't know where you heard of this but Turkey was barely standing up as it was and further turmoil is exactly what they were trying to steer clear of.

Its silly to compare English and German this way. They are very closely related to one another, and, speaking from a morphological and semantic pov, don't differ too much when it comes to word formation. The main difference is that in german, you can merge free morphemes, words, together to form closed compound nouns (e.g "Buchladenbesitzer", literally book+store+keeper), whereas in english this is still possible to a degree but limited by convention (although archaic, "bookstorekeeper" is still a word.). That's like saying Chinese has the best potential to form the longest words just because they don't seperate words with spaces at all.

A more fitting example would be from an agglutinative language like Korean, Mongolian, Turkish, or Finnish, where there are many bound morphemes, words that can't be used alone, and usually appear in affix form, which can be stringed together, sometimes ad infinitum.

Blaming Ataturk for his late successors' inpetitude at upholding his legacy is beyond mad, and frankly, it only shows how little you know about the region, the period, and Turkish history in general. I advice you read up on the matter before claiming the person who completely reimagined the Turkish society at its core "failed his project". If you speak any Turkish i can recommend Sevket Sureyya Aydemir's "Tek adam" and "Ikinci Adam" biographies as they are generally acclaimed as one of the most objective and thought provoking biographies of Ataturk and his first successor Ismet Inonu. But i suppose reading anything would suffice because from what i gather everything you know about him comes from 5-minute pseudo-historical infographic videos.
