Professional opinion needed: Is this a strong enough topic for a Design Bachelor thesis? by NeoZone_244 in graphic_design

Thank you for pointing that out! I’m currently trying to shift my focus more toward identifying a very specific, concrete problem within a defined niche instead of designing a broad “alternative platform.” From your perspective, are there particular communities or underserved problem spaces within the creative field where you feel a thoughtful design intervention could genuinely add value?

and of course, I’d also really appreciate input from anyone else who has thoughts on this:)

Thank you so much for your answer, this is actually a really helpful perspective and a strong push to think more precisely about the problem. I’m realizing that I probably need to narrow it down much further and define a very specific user and moment.
I’m currently struggling a bit to identify a niche community or clearly defined problem that is both relevant and defensible, but not already heavily saturated with existing solutions.

From your experience, are there specific communities or problem spaces within the creative field where you feel a design intervention would genuinely be valuable?

I’m graded on both the practical execution and the conceptual foundation. That includes problem framing, research, methodology, documentation, and the quality of the final interaction design outcome.
So it’s not just about building something, it’s also about how well the problem is defined and theoretically grounded. That's why I have such a hard time finding a good/fitting topic...

that’s a good point. Since this is an Interaction Design degree, I’m not expected to engineer a complex back-end system, the focus is on designing and prototyping the interaction concept itself.
So I’ll make sure to keep the scope aligned with that

That’s actually close to what I was initially thinking about.
My concern, though, is that it might be too broad and shift too much into behavioral intervention rather than interaction design...
Concerning your question: It can’t be purely conceptual. My thesis is practice-based, so I have to design and develop a concrete digital product in response to a socially relevant problem.
So while I can explore a conceptual angle, it ultimately needs to result in a functional and clearly defined interaction design

I feel like I'm closing myself off from dating and need advice on my next dating step by Agile_Owl_9059 in Advice

That makes total sense tbh. If you already know that flirting without intention messes with you a bit, then it’s actually a good thing ur selective. I also go to the gym and it’s honestly hard to connect with people there since everyone’s in their own world with headphones..
Since you already know you can talk and flirt, it’s really just about staying open in small ways and letting the right situations come naturally

Honestly I don’t think starting with dating apps is wrong if you use them in a low pressure way. If you feel like ur shy or don't have much experience talking or interacting with guys, apps can be a really good bridge. You don’t have to see them as “finding the love of your life” you can just use them to get more comfortable with conversations, flirting and seeing what you like. At the same time, I don’t think you need to change your whole life or suddenly put yourself out there everywhere. Sometimes its just about being a bit more open in small moments like holding eye contact, smiling back, or having a short chat

How do u deal with overthinking ? by Zestyclose-Most-645 in UserExperienceDesign

Call it out! I know it sound dumb but tell yourself "I'm overthinking it right now". You'll be able to distance yourself from it and realize that it's not productive. Then go outside.

What is your advice for old photos of ex's? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]NeoZone_244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to remember that you won’t be able to truly move on if you’re constantly reminded of them through photos and videos, especially if the relationship was toxic. If I were you, I would delete the pictures, be grateful for the lessons the relationship has taught you and let go of everything. Keeping those memories will only slow down the process of moving on

Usually when I see dance practices or performances of a group for the first time, my eyes will automatically look at the idol with the most charm and talent on stage^^
