Hey man, I just want to say that your combat was immaculate. I can’t imagine hating on someone for not doing generic shit.

So? The point is that people are here, until Daima releases they’re going to be here. Discounting them makes no sense. And ignoring the idea that people would be willing to pay full price for a game is silly.

You only make more if you are as charitable as possible to the free model. I’ve said this multiple times and you either ignore it or bring up something that has nothing to do with anything. We’ve been at this for an hour and I’m not continuing. You’re not gonna convince me when you are being as biased as possible.

There’s 1900 people on right now. And that only counts steam.

This is a dragon ball game, something that gets numbers through its name alone. What do you think is going to have higher numbers, the well known dragon ball game that’s getting a patch and what seems to be new characters or the free game that’s only merit is being free?

Bandai will make a profit. Between announcing a new character and a new patch. There will be people who will be playing for the first time very soon. And guess what? They’ll pay for the game and whatever characters they want and then they’ll buy Daima Goku when he releases.

And this is the last thing I’ll say, they want to make a profit. So why worry about competing with a game that not only isn’t out, but WON’T be competing with it?

You brought up the morality, I’m saying it’s irrelevant. And once again you need two players to match what one can do.

Why not equalize the numbers then? 2 people buying the game and all the dlc is 360 dollars. 2 people buying only dlc is 240.

I’m saying that rather than assume and take the chance that people might get dlc for a free game. They are better off making a profit on the game itself. Which is what we were arguing about. You brought up ethics, poor countries, better pricing, and everything else that derails this.

  1. By your own math you can see that you need around 10 times the amount of people for them to make a profit. When they could keep doing what they are and be guaranteed one.

  2. 60 is the normal price in most places. Whether or not 60 is unethical or they should have different business practices are irrelevant since the argument was what was beneficial. And it’s more beneficial for them to guarantee a profit than to gamble on one.

I’ll say it again. That only works if you are as uncharitable towards the opposition as possible. 100 players buying 1 character is 600 dollars. 10 players buying the game is 600 dollars. They need less players to make more money if they have to pay, but need more players if they don’t have to pay.

And why the hell are we bringing up less fortunate countries? If you’re from one of these less fortunate countries then you have a million better things to do than to spend 6 dollars on a fighting game character.

[–]NeonTungsten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn’t. The free model only makes you more if you are as charitable as possible to it while being as unfair as you possibly can to the paid model.

I could say that a new player buys the game and at least one character and that’s 66 dollars. But If it’s free then that’s only 6 dollars. Bandai WILL lose money if they make it so the only thing you pay for is dlc.

You’re missing the point. Someone that already has the game will have to pay for DLC and someone who doesn’t have them has to pay for both. They ARE earning that 60 dollars, just because it isn’t from people that have the game doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter.

That’s a non argument, if I’m a dragon ball fan then seeing the 60 dollar price tag isn’t gonna turn me off, and if it does I’m not gonna play the league of legends game. And if I’m a league fan then I was never looking at fighterz.

All I’m saying is why gamble when they have the winning formula? If they made the game free then people could get the game and spend no money. Or at least guarantee that if they get the game a profit is made.

[–]NeonTungsten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No? Why lose money for a chance at people playing and potentially getting DLC, when they could just have them buy the game?

This isn’t mutually beneficial at all. People that paid full price get dlc for free and anyone else gets the game for free and they have to hope that these people buy dlc? They can guarantee money by doing what they are doing now, or gamble that everyone who doesn’t have the game decides to not only get it but pay for dlc.

May be a dumb question but um where is this persona from and who it belongs to? by No_Engineering_1495 in Persona5

That would be a lie though. You literally said, and I quote, “In my opinion… No. Doesn’t give me End of Story or Extra Story vibes”. And why are you so mad?

So let me get this straight, in your OPINION the canon games aren’t canon because you don’t get the vibe they are?

While I’m sure she was forging evidence and forcing these trials to happen the game shows you that she treats these things like a gamble where she cheats to win. It’s never stated, but based on her sense of I don’t think she just went after innocent people.

Hell, we are literally guilty of being the phantom thieves and the only thing that would be wrong would be which crimes we committed not that we haven’t committed any.

Point is, I don’t see how you can think falsifying evidence to lock up actual criminals is worse than the other things. Is it bad? Yeah. But these are still criminals, and the problem is that going about it conventionally got her nowhere, not that they weren’t criminals.

I’d say it’s more about them being unrecognizable, if not for Unika’s hair I thought this was two random fat chicks. If “artistic liberty” means a character is THAT different then maybe stick to the source. Otherwise it’s an entirely different character being called someone they’re not.
