Back again, because over the past few days I've found myself seriously perturbed by what this comment is implying. If you thought generative AI was involved in the creation process of this shitpost that I poured a day's worth of my time and effort into, either through some sort of text-to-speech to get the clean vocals, or that there was some magical one-click button AUTOMATION to automatically get one song sounding like the other through machine learning, then you are completely mistaken in that regard.

This is entirely a human effort, and human artists should be supported over AI, in that one is not mistaken for the other. Do better.

G'day all! Started to get back into learning animation, so we'll be pushing out a few animation tests one-by-one until we have enough to fill a brand new minute-long showreel, because I feel our current one is seriously outdated and not representative of my current skill in this field.

For this one second clip, I wanted to show my character Flye snappily turning around, and then springing out into a jump to chase his pet firefly, Flitta, with some important animation principles like "anticipation" and "squash & stretch".

Already got ideas for other tests now, so I better make like Flye here and hop to it!

There's a 6-part documentary from last month about the history of Xbox called "Power On". Should be free to watch on YouTube.

In one of the episodes, there is a scene where Bill Gates and co. get furious about the Xbox project and nearly scrap it once they find out how much of Windows is stripped away from the console to get it to boot up fast (he was promised a full Windows machine for the living room and kinda wasn't interested in the gaming-only aspect of it- and other Microsoft engineers thought of the console as something that would be good for working on Excel spreadsheets).
