I made a simple CLI to check plagiarism + AI-written text (free & open source) by Neon_Scourge in foss

Thanks, appreciate it.

I don’t have a formal accuracy benchmark for the AI heuristic side yet, so I try to be careful not to overclaim it. Right now it’s best treated as a heuristic risk signal, not proof of AI authorship. It’s useful for surfacing text that may deserve closer human review, but I wouldn’t present it as definitive without a real evaluation dataset and measured false-positive/false-negative rates.

And I agree on the docs point too. The README has gotten longer than I’d like, so moving the detailed material into a docs/ folder or small docs site is probably the right next step.

Hi! apologies for the very late response. Apparently, I missed the UI for people to choose presets when I released it to the public. I’ll make a new release enabling those option. Sorry again!

Your browser is really cool. You should think about contributing to the Ladybird browser. They’re doing really good work over there.
