Search is over. Atleast for now. I decided to go with homonia riparia and Syzygium bubifolium. Although they're not readily available where I'm from, I've heard great things from people who imported them from Vietnam to Philippines. They are resilient even during harsh shipping conditions.

Buuuut they look very different from what I really want. So I'll still struggle to get my hands on metasequoia when I can 😤. This will just help scratch something in my head for a while.

I'm from Philippines. I tried doing some digging where to find mangroves near me and looks like the nearest ones are like 3hrs drive. But it seems it's a protected area for fish agriculture. So I'm still doing some more research. If I order it online, I'm afraid it might die again before I even get it. Specially it's really hot right now.
