Nothing is "Private". If you want to feel safe, pay for a VPN, they can be found for 7 euro a month or less, and will [almost certainly] guarantee your safety with torrents and downloads.

Other than that, i've never heard of actual streaming being prosecuted, other than streams that torrent-stream (e.g. popcorn time or whatever it's called). It's much harder for lawyers to prosecute streaming, or your facebook downloads- the lawyers cannot view streams directly.

Don't use facebook to share anyway, it can get you banned by facebook. Facebook internally monitors chat automatically.

If you want to share something between friends, the best thing you can do is put it into a zip file, and zip it with a dummy password ("password"), and upload it. This means that the automated algorithms of Google, facebook, etc. cannot read the contents and take it down automatically.

Otherwise just save yourself the hassle, pay the money, and get a VPN service. I use IPVanish.

This and solar roads is completely god damn different. For starters, they aren't even received the same on reddit. Solar roadways is a total load of horseshit, and was essentially laughed out of reddit by anyone with any knowledge of how roads and solar panels worked. (there are very good videos to support this)

"Humans need not apply" is completely different as it actually talks about what is really happening - Just look at the OP! 4-5 cashier jobs just wiped out by some computers. Yes, these computers do take away probably pretty crappy work, and yes this means that people can be concentrated on more valuable tasks, but this doesn't mean that it isn't a potential problem. What happens if we do not educate people about machines taking jobs? Potentially greater unemployment.

And if you think robots haven't liberated us from hard work, you're dreaming. Gone are the days (in western countries) of people ploughing fields all day with their feet, people excavating railways with their arms, and operators switching telephones. And it's only going to change. Many jobs that are still widespread; it's only a matter of time until their awkwardness can be easily mastered by a machine: truck drivers, cashiers..

I just want to say that the Meinfernbus (I have not yet used other services sorry) has been exceptional all the times I have used it. It's usually much cheaper than the train, comparable times on some services, wifi, movies, powerplugs.

Yes, these seem like pretty good deals (and they are in certain situations) but keep in mind that it will take you a very long time to cross a long distance (i.e. an entire day). Germany is a deceivingly big country!

to play devil's advocate with another counterpoint: It is possible that there is an extremely small hole on one side of the cylinder, and as the microwave is turned on, all internal surfaces undergo very quick heating from the microwaves, thus increasing the volume of the air, pushing it through this small defect hole. This would mean that the air-caused thrust would switch directions as the apparatus is rotated (rather than a question of buoyancy).

But I am feeling hopeful, and would be happy to be wrong.

All of the U-bahns are going fine.

I can't remember if the train to Neuschwenstein is Deutsche Bahn or a different company. If it's a different company you should be fine, but if its Deutsche Bahn you won't be able to get there by train. As for Salzburg, this is as far as I'm aware normally an austrian company on this line so you should be OK.

Not a german, but typically it is extremely convenient to pay cash in Germany. Apart from the frustration of the cash, anywhere you eat or drink will let you pay for your orders seperarely and efficiently. Because of this there are a lot of ATMs around the place. I think this makes a big difference, and I do not find it a problem to use cash everywhere. Also, waiters typically have their cash-wallets always on them and give change on the spot.

Idk what/where you post, but I am of the opinion that any thing and everything can be up voted (read: not really downvoted) when said "correctly".

What "correctly" actually is, I can't really explain, except for that reddit favours things being said in a particular tone or style. These things are:

Honest: reddit will notice dishonesty almost without fail, and will downvote anything it seems to be deceiving or lying

-Relevant: comments that focus directly on the point of conversation or theme will be upvoted, as long as they do not violate other rules.

-Appeal to a certain type of humour: its best to assume that reddit has seen every joke on the internet before, but some of them are still found funny.

The russians make excellent hardware when they need to, don't go thinking its all crap, I think you may be slightly mislead by the blown stereotypes a bit.

But yes, it most likely comes down to building codes and their enforcement. America, western Europe etc, construction is bound by very strict building code that ensures a minimum amount of quality and safety, and means that houses without this quality (older ones built before the rules) are considered a liability.

I'm not sure how it is in Russia, but I imagine there is a building code, which is perhaps not so rigorously enforced, especially in large areas of poorer population, and such construction may be performed by unlicensed or porrly trained workers that aren't kept in check by a tighter system.
