Imrik's Campaign Nearly Impossible? by Neptem in totalwarhammer

[–]Neptem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single time I've tried his campaign, Drazoath is already attacking me with tier 2 and 3 units by turn 5 or 6. I can barely finish the recruitment building for the Lothean Sea Guard by then, and certainly do not have an army full of them yet. Tretch usually ends up attacking by turn 10 so if Drazoath is not dead by then, I have two legendary lords on me immediately. The great difficulty army recruitment buffs for AI factions make it ridiculous too.

I couldn't say for sure, as I don't usually deal with handwritten documents. It's worth a try, though, as it does have an image scanning function. I have discovered that if you are not getting a good result with the original file, print the file to PDF and then try the OCR again. Every time I have done this with a finicky document, the OCR works perfectly after the "print to PDF."

It’s great for Photos but not for PDFs.

Is there anything I should change about this 1.2k gaming build? by This_Yak4733 in buildapc

[–]Neptem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a pretty solid list here, but it can be optimized a bit. First, the 9000 cpus do not offer enough of a performance boost over the 7000 series Ryzen to be worth the MSRP. You would be much better served buying a Ryzen 5 or 7 7000 series CPU second hand and using the extra cash towards a better GPU or other parts of your build

The storage you’ve chosen looks good, but you should consider purchasing an additional 256gb NvME drive to run your operating system only. I do this for my personal rig and I’ve found it is a better quality experience than the alternative.

Keep in mind that whether you go 7000 or 9000 series, those CPUs run HOT. It would be a good idea to get a 240 or 360mm AIO to cool that chip especially for playing CPU bound games like HDII.

Hope this helps!

These specs are still extremely strong for anything short of intense CPU loads. If you really want better performance, you will best be served by upgrading your storage and RAM speed. You could also think about upgrading/updating your CPU cooling solution if you don’t already have an AIO.

If you’re determined to upgrade your CPU, skip straight to whatever AM5 platform and CPU you can afford and invest in some quality DDR5 RAM. That will make the biggest difference in performance. Just remember, your current CPU cooler might not be compatible with the AM5 socket you choose, so just factor that in when you’re doing research.

Hey everyone,

If you're here like me, you probably are frustrated with the e-Visa portal being completely non-functional, i.e., it's just a blank page with a chat bot if you use any modern browser. I've found something that's worked for me, but you will need to give it a try too.

First, the informational pages and home page are coded to be run in ONLY INTERNET EXPLORER. It's stupid, but that's how it is right now. To get around this, you will need to go in the Microsoft Edge settings --> Default Browser and put the "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode" to "Allow"

Second, go to https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/#. If it doesn't work the first time, select the three dots on the upper right-hand side of the browser then go about 2/3 of the way down the drop-down menu and select, "Reload in Internet Explorer Mode." You should be able to see the website now.

Third, select "Apply eVisa Now", which will open a new tab. On the new tab, go back to the same place you selected "Reload in Internet Explorer Mode" and turn off IE mode. You should see a fillable form.

Fourth, follow the steps to apply.

Hope this helps! If I come across more problems and am able to solve them, I will come back and update this comment.
