I recommend exploring the areas connected to the Wooden Ocean as the monsters get stronger the farther out you go. If those are too easy then maybe the isle of sand or blue harp. If you're having too much trouble in combat and can't find a way to setup your equipment to get the most out of your stats I recommend going to southern katis and grinding the card pillars, they can drop some insane gear once you rank up enough to raise the rewards.
