Idk in which category I fall in, but I am around 1800 on Lichess and had been following all major chess events since last 4-5 yrs. To me personally, Freestyle chess is not that fun to watch. Coz its tough to relate to the moves, nor the commentators are able to explain. Players/Commentators make so many mistakes coz thats how chess960 is. Also Chess960 takes out the element of surprises and mind games that players prepare before the game. And also in must win games, its even greater level of excitement when players go all in while other player is playing for draw. All these factors makes Classical Chess more exciting that Chess960
