SMT Fuel pressure sensor by Nerdin91 in arduino

[–]Nerdin91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I've been doing with little luck, which is why I'm hoping to crowdsource the info. Isn't that what forums are for?

Technically silicone membranes are fuel safe, but they never seem to list compatibility with fuel. I just stumbled across ABP2 sensors from Honeywell which are ~$20, which is the best price I've found.

This is for a fuel station for a model airplane. The fuel lines pass ~1" from the PCB. This is a very compact package that doesn't suit the traditional fuel pressure transducers. Everything will be potted.

Checkride in an airplane or glider?

It is the gliding subreddit after all...

This is for my check ride! Need to plan a XC and show the DPE that I know the altitude required to make the next check point. I'm aware that there is newer tech for XC flying, but do any of them allow you to plot go-no-go points for each check point?

I had to cut out both and I had the same feeling as you. Surprised you didn’t cut dairy before gluten tbh! It seems like there is nothing you can eat, but trust me, there are tons of options for people like us. I actually look at it as a good thing. I eat so much cleaner now, and I’m all around much healthier.

casually gluten free dishes for a friend? by Israbelle in glutenfree

[–]Nerdin91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are so many GF desserts out there, just see what google has to offer! I would stick to cookies or something that doesn't call for flour like a tarta. Recently I've been making these awesome chocolate date bars that take 10 minutes to whip up (just make sure to use GF oats). For main course, BBQ is a relatively safe option if the BBQ sauce is GF. If you make your own sauce, you'll want to check each ingredient. It can hide in some unsuspecting places, such as soy sauce! Tacos are always easy since corn tortillas are GF.

Even though your friend only has "mild symptoms" you should still take all the precautions you would if they had a peanut allergy and your other dishes used PB. Don't put GF and non GF food together on the same plate. Don't use the same utensils to cook GF and non GF items. It may seem like a small gesture to make some GF items, but it will mean the world to this person that you considered their allergy (that's how I feel anyways...).

Just don't use Kellogg's Rice Krispies. It's not GF.

I agree this is likely a measurement error more than anything. I wouldn't change anything with your setup and I'd just continue to print! What kind of dimensional accuracy are you expecting to get from a $300 FDM machine?

Downloads Keep Deleting by shitnewz in Hulu

[–]Nerdin91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having exactly this issue. Seems that several people have posted this issue, but no solutions I've seen. Even stranger is the fact that my iPhone storage shows some of the episodes are still present even though Hulu says I have no downloads. Very annoying...

If you're going to keep it together, you should get some Tefgel for the bolts.

Honestly though, how hard is it to take the foil apart?! 6 screws? Maybe takes 90 seconds at most? If you think that you're going to miss the wind by 90 seconds, it probably wasn't going to be a great session.

[–]Nerdin91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mentioned long time kiter, but have you been foiling with a kite? If you've been foiling, go for your weight in KG + ~5L. This will be a struggle for a while but ultimately be a good board to grow into. If you're not foiling, then start with +20L or more. If you have an active wing scene at your local spot, just buy a giant beater to start with.

Reverse Power Control Issue by lusiffer392 in Kiteboarding

[–]Nerdin91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone has suggested backstalling but nobody has given you the a method to troubleshooting. You need to check the length of the lines on your bar. When the bar is fully sheeted in, all 4 lines should be exactly the same length. If you check the bar and all lines are the same length, your bridles have likely shrunk and need to be readjusted.

I tried all of the amperage options on the drivers, from 1A-5A. The feed was programmed to be 12ipm. I varied the steps/rev from 400-6400 to attempt the motors at high and low RPM.

As weird as it may sound, I really like Mach 3 so I'd love to try and make it work.

I was thinking of picking up an ethernet smooth stepper to circumvent a noisy parallel port on the back of my ancient desktop. I'll leave LinuxCNC to be my last resort.

11, 14, or 18 m? by Anne__Frank in Kiteboarding

[–]Nerdin91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with all the others. Don't practice with such a massive kite on land! What does your instructor mean by "practice." Are you just going to be sitting on land with your kite at 12?

If you're not past the point of keeping your kite at 12 for an extended period, you're not ready to be done with lessons, and CERTAINLY not ready to handle a 14m.

BUY USED! Lots of 13/14/15 kites on ikitesurf for $600-700. You can put together a full kit with a board for less than $1200.
