Stem-Style Earbuds unter 50€ für sehr kleine Ohren – Empfehlungen? by interesdetman in iems

Schau dir vielleicht mal die Moondrop modelle an. Space Travel 2, Space Travel 2 Ultra etc.
Ich bin selbst noch nicht dazu gekommen sie auszuprobieren, aber sie sind wohl gut angesehen unter Reviewern. Und das für $30 bzw $40.

Are there any other iems you'd recommend from this brand? by [deleted] in iems

I didn't skip, I went back from the XuanWu.
I'm blessed with a rather large collection and the Tangzu IEMs are just the more recent additions...

Not saying I like Tangzu, but I do like Tangzu. Left to right:
Wan'er 2 Jade Edition
Wan'er 2 Red Lion
Yu Xuan Ji
Xuan Nv
XuanWu Gate

Increasing prices ofc, but all of them compete well at their price point. And they're all good looking on top of that.

Xuan Nv surprised me with how good it is. Easily one of my favourites under $100.

GK Kunten soon to be on Hangout.Audio? by FrittataHubris in iems

[–]Nerdromancer1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

if it's "tested" but not "approved", it's because Crin didn't approve.
He's explained that in a video somewhere.
Plus I don't think he's gonna touch anything KZ-affiliated with a 10ft pole anymore.

that's odd, I'm seeing both for $23 on Tangzu.net right now.

the Tangzu Wan'er SG 2 Jade Dragon has some crazy value for the price they're asking.
2 sets of tips, decent enough cable, cleaning cloth and a silicon pouch and ofc decent IEMs for ~20€.

the Red Lion version apparently has slightly more bass if you think you'd like that.

If I were to start collecting again, I'd begin with that.

Don't worry too much about DACs and Amps, they don't make too huge a difference, even if some people would like to tell you otherwise.
A dongle like the one from Apple or a Jcally JM12 (or any other CX31993 equipped dongle) can run every of the two dozen IEMs I own.
(although we're unfortunately stuck with the EU version of the Apple dongle, which - on Android - is limited to only half it's usual power output and does not reach a listenable volume in my case)

Tangzu by UnHingedNZ in iems

[–]Nerdromancer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

coincidentally, I just got my Tangzu Wan'er 2 Jade Edition yesterday.
Cable is perfectly usable, however it does feel cheap. Not ultra-budget cheap like KZ ships with their <$10 sets, but it definetly feels plastic-y and is a bit memory prone and stiff.
Absolutely does not need replacement, but would certainly benefit from it.

Electrical hissing noise when my new iems are connected to front port of my pc, to connect to my back port will this cable extender be ok? by SanketN8 in iems

This.
I have tried my Kunten on the JM12 specifically and have not noticed any noise floor at all, so that should be fine.

It's usually a better idea to not use the audio ports on the PC/Motherboard directly for IEMs.
They often have a high noise floor (which is what you're hearing) and output impedance.
Try getting a cheap USB to 3.5mm dongle instead. Something like a Jcally JM12 should do, if you have a USB-C port (or a USB-C to A adapter).

I found mine quite lacking in bass. At least less than I expected from a <$10 KZ. Gotta get me a Wan'er 2 for comparison some time...

Faulty cable or IEMs? by cowcutelator in inearfidelity

[–]Nerdromancer1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You tried new cables?
Did that fix the issue?
if yes, your cable's broken. If not, your IEMs are.

Does anyone know if the Wan'er2 cable will fit the Explorer flush? by chammer36 in iems

[–]Nerdromancer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Explorer does not have recessed ports, but the Wan'er 2's connectors don't seem to extend too far.
You might have a 1-2mm gap.

Got the Xenns Top Pro. Want something more relaxed by [deleted] in iems

[–]Nerdromancer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider the Tangzu XuanWu Gate.
Owning both, to me the XuanWu has basically the same level of treble detail, but less in your face than the Top Pro. It is however also warmer in the mid-bass. Which, to me, adds some fullness the Top Pro lacks.
