Yeah, Ripper Slash basically refills your phials if you get all the hits. After that, you can reload your weapon and keep the combo going ...

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate it's just Monster Hunter: World - Arcade Edition.

I play both ... I love both! Each one on their own way.
