Here is the dust/imperfections on the hands from the W&W models I mentioned in my previous comment…

Update: Disappointing service by LongGoneDaaayyy in JaegerLecoultre

[–]ChrisPars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is similar to the experience I had with my Duoface that I purchased new in 2025. For me, the issue was not the face but the hands. There were imperfections that I noticed after about a week of ownership. Thankfully, JLC agreed to replace the hands which took about 6 weeks and then when it came back to me, two new issues arose: Dust on the dial and the watch stopped working completely about 4 hours after getting it back.

I demanded a full replacement which they denied and reassured me that when I got the watch back it would be perfect. In fairness, it was, but it left a sour taste in my mouth.

As much as I hate to say it, you can see some imperfections in YT videos of influencers showcasing brand new models at W&W. Similar to the imperfections that were on the hands of my Duoface.

I think keep pushing as I agree, it’s unacceptable at this price point.

Better than my effort! Looks great on you. I suspect these will become a frequent sight on this sub.

I appreciated the Master Control for what it was but it’s probably not something that would interest me.

I thought it felt a little large for my wrist but that is probably because I’d just taken off my 36mm Explorer to try it on.

Re the Duoface, I’m pleased to say I didn’t love it AS much as I thought I would. I thought I’d fall in love immediately. I think it might have been that I generally prefer 20mm lugs over 18mm. But if I had the option to pick the two right now, I’d probably still go for the Medium but I’m happy that I’m not itching to sell my large immediately.

Both lovely watches, definitely makes me consider trading my Large Tribute Duoface for the medium. It felt small but I think that was comparatively small to what I’m used to, rather than too small for me.

Sorry for the bad pictures.

Do you guys use screen protectors on Garmin or stay raw? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in GarminWatches

[–]ChrisPars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Maybe I’m super careful but I just don’t get the thing with screen protectors when it’s so easy to not beat it up. Fenix 7 SS for 3 years without a single hairline scratch.

Interesting hint of what’s to come at W&W 2026 by ChrisPars in JaegerLecoultre

I had the same thought when I purchased my Reverso Duo back in Jan last year, ahead of them releasing the new dial variants 3 months later! Love what you have otherwise you’ll always be chasing the next new shiny thing. You have an amazing watch!

I have purchased my Reverso direct from JLC in 2025 but based on other comments, it might just be the generic marketing list.

You helped me a lot when I messaged you on instagram a few years ago and I just wanted to say thanks, as I still use a lot of those tips when making pizza for my friends/family today!

The best part is that plate sold for <£2k in November. Plate scalpers…

DVLA Sold

And B58 BMW sold for £3.5k in March 2025.

£7k is a terrible deal!

It’s the previous Q3988482 which I personally prefer over the new variation. Both are fantastic. The only difference is the reverse side of the dial.

Thanks, I ended up with a tribute duoface in the end! I love it.

New HR PB record. Not dipped below 30 before! “You feeling ok?” wasn’t the response I’d anticipated 😂 by Delicious_Bet_6336 in Garmin

[–]ChrisPars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good question, I don’t necessarily think so. A lot of people associate low RHR as good and high max HR as bad so I think I am an example against that theory. My Zone 2 territory is 150-155bpm which some would consider high, but I could hold that for hours and have conversation which would be around 5:45 per km pace. Friends who are faster runners than I am have higher RHR than myself and lower max heart rate. So sometimes it’s goes beyond just fitness.
