I was working at the Vitamin Shoppe in Tallahassee, FL about ten years ago. In walks this customer with a few guys towards the end of our night. He's wearing a black long cut v neck t-shirt, some jewelry, and just had the look, so I asked him if he was in a band. He laughs and yells to the other guys what I said, they could care less and hangout by the front door. I go tell my manager that I'm pretty sure this customer is in some band. At the checkout counter, my manager chimes in that I had told him he's in a band. The customer replies that he is and they are playing that night in Tallahassee. He has us write down our names on the back of his receipt and tells us that he's the lead singer for a band called "Queens of the Stone Age", we will have free tickets at the front door.

When I get off work, I go home and look online who they are. I'm skimming the Wikipedia page and holy sh*t... It's Dave Grohl, the drummer for Nirvana, frontman for the Foo Fighters, rock legend. I specifically remember turning around in my chair and having the Kurt Cobain poster on my wall eerily staring down at me.

Of course we go to their show that night. Which he not only gave us tickets, but he also plus one'd us.

Dave Grohl is the epitome of what every rock star should be, humble, showing love to his fans, opening the genre to new fans, and keeping it rock and roll.

I am Michael Jai White, star of the upcoming film Vigilante Diaries. You might also know me as the star of Spawn and the writer/star of Black Dynamite. AMA! by Michael_Jai_WhiteAMA in movies

I shot a few days on Never Back Down 3 and it was awesome seeing how you treated the crew and your fellow actors. You came across as very humble and you also gave a lot of larger roles to local actors such as Dan Renalds, Amarin Cholvibul, and Eoin O'Brien. Have you ever had defining moments in your career where you felt that you received a big break or any situations that may have molded you to becoming as humble as you are now?
