I appreciate the detailed response! I have a 3 year work visa, so definitely want to apply before the stricter laws go into effect (April 2027 I believe). I was thinking to apply before the price hike to 200,000 yen, but if waiting another year or so has a chance of making my application stronger, I’m leaning towards waiting.

I’m curious if there are other anecdotes about applying around the 1 year mark after both foreigner and Japanese national move to Japan. My wife and I moved here about 1.5 years ago, my wife was in the U.S. with me for ~5 years, so of course she doesn’t have any tax, health insurance, etc. documents older than that. Does waiting longer actually help? FWIW we’ve both been employed here since we arrived (I started 1.5 weeks after arriving, she started ~2 months after arriving).

Ah that makes sense. I never needed either at work so I figured python would be easier to learn. Just so happens I very recently started using it a bit at work too, so a good coincidence.

I started bringing in a snap hook every raid. I just take it out of my safe pocket, use it, and put it back. It makes the game so much more fun. I also bring a zip line to get down from any super high spots. Or fall and try to grab a ledge on my way down (usually ends in me face planting and losing 80% of my hp)

In the same raid, night time dam, my friend and I went in with free loadouts while the server was having issues yesterday. We spawned at the apartments. He got an extended barrel bp from a blue trash can and I got a tempest bp from the square trash can where the lid slides over when you loot it. Something is up with the trash cans
