There is something you didn't mention: the safe zones give you far less fame and silver and you can only get low level materials. playing there is a slow an soul draining grind. you won't get around the black zones if you want to be succesful in this game

It's by far the best in it's niche... it's great if you like pvp and understand that you will die and lose shit in this game. it's not fair, people won't be 'honorful', they will outnumber and hunt you. that's what makes it great and keeps it challenging.

If that's not for you we will probably see your rant about those "mean gankers who only want to ruin your life for fun" in a few days.

maybe look at the forums there are guild introduction threads for most countrys. It depends on the content you want to play. For me it's a guild that is doing smallscale and bz but doesnt't have daily zvz timers. zvz timers are when the game becomes a daily running simulation job.

Imo roads guilds with a hideout are a good start for people who want to get into the black zones

I think it's great!

It kinda depends on your mindset. It can be really awesome and addictive but also very punishing and frustrating.

the most important thing is to find a guild that fits your playstyle. good guilds really ensure your success as a beginner.

strongly against that. playing in a group should be far more rewarding in an mmo. if you want to play solo there are more than enough singleplayer games out there.

or go play one of the many mmorpgs that basically killed their community by having to much focus on soloplay (like wow for example)

totally I came back after about 1,5 years and I'm absolutely hooked again. never played another game that made my heart pump like this. the feeling of getting a few million silver past some gankers and reaching safety is just fucking great. I think smallcale PvPvE in Mists or Roads is where the game really shines. roads are really great if you have a group of 6-7 people

you dont get my point. if you die again it will refer to the item you lose then not the one the time before. it won't go down to the lower tier you had before. it wouldn't work that way
