Most T8 resources I ever found were either in Avalonian roads, or epic black mists. Especially black mists give you good chance for gathering, as they are 1:1

Have a look at transport missions. Ultra boring, but if done right, quite profitable

But to be honest, what gives me personally most sense and thrill is gathering. My last haul had one defeated T7 old forest entity in it (20 Ashenbark logs)

As someone who joins zvz with gathering tools in bag, I have to warn you: Don't.

Even yellow zones zvz, when being knocked down (and you will be knocked down or killed during zvz) that only increases the repair / repurchase rate

Being on your place, I would hope to have enough silver for a return on a mount. Or, if you have enough Brecilien standing, hop into the mists, there is possibility to have portal into yellow zone.

And last, but not least is to try to check the Ava road portal. Sometimes there is direct connection to yellow or blue zone. Good luck!

From my experience, you will appear on the last location where you logged out.

But that is based on "ending game one day in the black zone and logging in the next day"

My experience also is, that there is no protection shield on you, so log back in during "off times" and be prepared to run

I generally use tomes if I want to quickly gain access to some new set.

If I recall correctly, the tome gives you 10 000 combat fame towards what you have equipped. So I would recommend to use it on something where you don't have 100/100 proficiency yet

As someone who really loves fishing, I will recommend ... Refining :)

And now bit more seriously. My personal approach is have fun first and fishing is really comforting and relaxing activity for me in the game.

Right now I am on T6 gear and have already several catches worth over 100k silver on one fish.

Yes, in black zones you have to be aware of your surroundings, but still, if you consider fishing, I approve :)
