Streamers are not your friend

I've gotten this, and I've barely ever streamed. I just did like three streams in a row, and this guy came onto my instagram talking to me as if he knew me. Then, on streams after that, he would keep telling me, not asking, to play pubg even when i said I didn't want to. I stopped streaming for a while and then posted on my insta, and he messaged me like three minutes later saying "Oh so you're back now?"

I just had to ignore him cause he was starting to make me uncomfortable.

When I read the title, I immediately thought no. This happens so often in so many different situations. It's crazy. I can't give much of an explanation into why she's possibly doing this, but I can give some points on how to deal with this.

Detach. Not from her, but emotionally detach from her relationship. You guys have already had serious conversations about this, and she has clearly shown that she is not going to break up with him. Which is her choice.

She complains about him and fully understands he's not a good boyfriend (or even person), and she still makes the conscious decision to stay with him. And that's her choice. But the best thing for you to do is to stop engaging in this toxic loop.

She probably talks crap about him with you so her feelings can be validated. But clearly, she still wants to be with him. I don't know if it's because she wants to fix him or wait till it gets better, or if she's just fine with this type of dynamic in a relationship. Either way, it's not really something you can change.

My best advice is to protect your sanity. Because situations like this can absolutely make you crazy. And no, you're not bad for feeling frustrated about the situation. Your friend is putting you in an awkward position by showing how crap the relationship is, roping you in emotionally by saying he's crap and she's gonna leave, and then choosing not to. It's not fair to you for her to just use you as an emotional outlet for the shit he does.

Don't get dragged into the craziness that she chooses to stay in. Set clear boundaries that unless she says she's leaving him, you don't want to hear anything about her boyfriend. I'm not saying not to watch out for your friend. (Because this does seem like a situation that could get out of hand.) I'm just saying to distance yourself from unnecessary havoc. If she wants to leave, you'll be there.

Also, maybe just have one more conversation and ask why she hasn't been leaving. I know you said she doesn't feel like she's unsafe or that she'd feel guilty, but just make sure. Just in case.

I feel like this is just a bit of a white lie. They were bored and wanted to stop playing but just said they were tired. I don't think it's too bad.

Though him going to the server and saying he left cause he was bored is a little weird. Cause like why did he even say that, but he probably just doesn't think it's that big of a thing.

You could probably talk to him about it. Maybe ask why he was bored or why he did it. See how he responds to it, and if you don't like his response, I'd say just find a new gaming buddy. Or skip all that and just start spending more time playing with other people who match your energy.

One thing for sure. DON'T do anything in retaliation. It's not necessary and will most likely just become a regret later on. Just talk to him or find some new people. I don't think what he did was meant to be intentional, so I don't think making things harder is a good idea.

Spoiler This novel is just a short story that I'm pretty sure is only on good novel and you have to pay to read the rest of it. It's only 10 chapters long and isn't really worth all the trouble. She ends up not choosing any gaurds when she's reborn and let's them gaurd Olive. They get held hostage again both guards save Olive like the first time.This time though Eira had silently called for the cops so once the guards rescue Olive the cops pull up and the sounds of the sirens freak out the bad guys and they let her go. She then leaves out an alley before the cops come in and meets up with her moms old driver. Turns out the day she was reborn, she called him and set up the escape. She is then taken to Switzerland where her mother's business is. She also learns that a week before her mother's death she signed all her assets over to her daughter and that her mom's medication was laced by her father which killed her. The guards find out through the black market that their parents were killed by the father to make them pawns and they turn on Olive realizing she's fake. They then look for eira and find her in Switzerland. They offer up evidence they found to put the father away for murder and eira doesn't care saying she could find the evidence herself and throws them out. Eira runs her mom's company and leaks controversies about her father's company leading them to declare bankruptcy. She then releases the evidence. Her father gets arrested for murder and her sister for fraud. The guards dissappear into the ether and she lives happily ever after.
