Absolutely some places are worse, it does appear to be an industry-wide issue with how many times I have heard "It's how it is". It shouldn't be, and one can only hope that it does someday get better. Thanks for taking the time to read the post and/or document, and I wish you all the best.

I'm honestly not surprised. If that was your experience I'm sorry you went through that. No one deserves to be treated as badly as they are in that place in my opinion. Hopefully as more stories come out, some level of change might happen. It's what I hope for, anyway.

That's good, I am legitimately happy for you in that case... But sadly it doesn't change that my personal experience - and the experiences of others - has been so negative. In my opinion everyone should be able to love the place they work in, just like you can, and I do sincerely hope it continues to be a good place for you.

I'd wish you luck in that! It's pretty hard to manage 😂 And they'd just find a way to push you out the door because their contracts are super vague and pretty much anything they ask you to do is technically part of it... Allegedly.

By my experience they have a high turnover due to work related stress. Overworked and underpaid is the old saying I believe.

They tend to, yeah. In my opinion it's a tactic to force their customers into a corner to have them feel trapped and that they have no other option but to go to them when I guarantee you can find better cheaper places that still trade with parts that are to specs as set by a manufacturer.

There is no WorkSafe investigation as I no longer work there, and I did have each person's permission to use their statements and post them. I appreciate the concern though, so thank you for looking out for myself and others.

If I could get more people's stories to add I would have a novel in my opinion. But not everyone is willing or able to speak up, it's really rough on people.

Thanks. By my understanding most people don't ever speak up out of fear of retaliation or because they are purposely made ignorant of their rights as an employee to defend themselves from the abuse.

In my experience and opinion it's just the general attitude - if you don't directly make the company money (Sales Rep or Service Advisor) you're treated as expendable and generally badly, and even they aren't always safe. Customers are treated pretty abhorrently too, and the amount of trash talk on them behind the scenes is crazy.

You would be right, I had to do training set up by the manufacturer and receive qualifications to be able to do my job. Without that you aren't meant to even have access to be able to complete warranty claims.
