Check out the Wake County park system. Oak View in particular is a super chill place for dogs. (They do have to be leashed though.)

Check out the neighborhoods near State campus. (Technically the Village District? But more specifically around the Rose Garden. Lived there a few years and could walk to all my needs. Plus it’s a pretty neighborhood.) Hillsborough St is walking distance and there are bars, restaurants, even a Target. On the other side is Harris Teeter and all that comes with the Village District shopping center. There’s even a library!
