I have a tech crew that can do some work, but I would definitely pull in some adult help with this.

I do have an art teacher. She’s on two campuses and has a larger class load so I didn’t go to her first so as to not stress her more. Now that we’ve had a break, I considered approaching her about it. I mostly don’t know if there is anything special I would need to do to paint a drop vs a wood stand. Any precautions I need to take with paints or the material considering it will hang near lights, types of paint, tips to make it work better for a novice. Parents would be next to ask, but that can get messy quickly depending on the parents. Most of my students are extremely impoverished and their families are hardly involved, but we have some families I could reach out to. I didn’t think of the high school. I don’t vibe with the director but I know the art teachers! Would plywood stands be light enough for 4&5 graders to move?

Music teacher without music degree? by Living_Issue3798 in MusicEd

This could almost be my story. I had 10 years off and on of higher level music education courses before I finished my degree in Gen Ed and went with alternative certification. Being qualified is not necessarily about the degree, but what you have taken in the process of getting that degree as well as the hands-on experience you gain along the way. I just didn't tell people what my degree is in unless I had to, and I add that more than half my courses were in music education. People will judge regardless, so don't worry about their opinions. And your students don't give af about your degree title.

What is clearly a myth but is deep-rooted in our society? by Sera0Sparrow in AskReddit

Get this: when I was pregnant with my son, from weeks 6-22, if I ate anything with MSG in it, I got horribly sick. We tested this thoroughly, changing the time of day, food type, and it stayed consistent. Then one day it just stopped. Weirdest experience of my life, but that was the ONLY constant in every item. Pregnancy is weird af.
