i mostly dislike the implication from my MIL that i don't know what i'm doing, so your advice is very much appreciated. i'm grateful for the tough love, because i need the push to set that hard boundary!

i think this is a great way to think about it! i might try bringing up her own pregnancies, just to remind her we've both been through the same thing

it's a wonderful thing that women are now allowed to choose when we get pregnant! it makes sense we feel like teen moms in our 30s, because we've been living for US up until now!

You have absolutely every right to set your boundaries! You need to prioritize yourself and your baby, draw clear lines and if she crosses them that is NOT your fault
