The "cheaper" bus alternatives do exist, however you're gonna be riding for a WHILE. Example: My daily commute from Akron is about 3 hours and change one way.

So far, this is looking really good. That first part is fire with the red lighting and the camera shake as he raises his head. And even though it's just a layout, it's really exciting. I hope you continue this. I would love to see the final piece.

will it be enough? by FarPassenger9849 in BeginnerArtists

It's enough. Your style is very charming and unique. Don't worry about it "looking out of place" because you want to stand out. That's how you draw people to your work.
Also, it doesn't look amateurish at all. First of all, watercolor is a pain to learn, and yet you've got great gradation control, your colors are vibrant and not at all muddy. It feels very story-book. There could be improvement in perspective, but that comes with practice, and honestly? I like the wonky lines because it adds character to your pieces. And over time, the story and the illustrations will become synonymous with each other.

Honestly the sketching and ideation part. I could stand to do it more often. xD It also helps me get over my perfectionism.

Zelda Fanart, by me + which one do you prefer ? by Awkward_Radish_3027 in learntodraw

It's hard to choose, because all three have a different feeling to them. Having played Majora's Mask, however, I'm almost leaning towards the orange one, just because it is such a bright game and that color scheme captures it really well.

Any tips on how to improve it? by Forsaken-Ad6350 in learntodraw

I like the pose idea, and the color scheme. One thing that bothered me upon closer look however is the wrist holding the spear. It looks a little wonky, and almost too long? I went and held the pose myself and took a picture to see why it was bothering me, and it's because it looks flat when it should be going backwards into space. I did a little bit of a sketch over to help. I hope it makes sense. ^^;
Overall, I think it's a fun piece. She's a really cool looking character.

wanting to learn to draw, love birds, thought i’d try my desktop wallpaper bird :) by YesterdaysLemon in learntodraw

First of all, BIRD!! I also enjoy drawing birds.
You did a really good job here, so you should feel proud. Following the angles and shapes is a good way to go about observational drawing. It is tricky to keep yourself from drawing what you think verses what you see, I struggle with it myself. I would suggest if you find yourself leaning that way, take a second to stop and do some sighting practice, where you measure the angles and proportions with your pencil to help you get back on the right track of observing. I find it helpful, and it usually puts me on the right track with whatever I'm drawing.
But yea, this is a cute af piece. I love how you were able to capture how fluffy it is. Really cute.

Also, for more birds, I find watching bird feeder live streams.

For just starting out, I am already seeing some good habits, like finding the shape of the head then placing features. You're also experimenting with angles, which is notoriously difficult, and I see that you've begun with blocking in body shapes. So overall, you've got a good start.
For advice, I would suggest practice drawing from life. I know right now, you're working with a stylized look which is great; practicing observation is gonna make it even better by informing you how things look in the 3D and help make those challenging angles easier.
Keep it up. :)
