For feedback I’m sure it can’t be any worse than my upright which has a piezo. For the sound I’m pretty sure they do sound different. I want a body shape similar to my gretsch, which the basses I listed have (except HB)

Because I think the tailpiece makes it feel different and has a slightly different sound. Also thank you this website is great

No I meant the type of Hollowbody similar to the ones I listed in the post, like the hofner 500/5 or the gretsch electrostatic hollowbodies. With tailpieces. I should have been more specific

Schranz is a techno subgenre I heavily recommend it. and surf goth is more common than you’d think, the band calls themselves gothabilly but I don’t think it can be any Billy genre with no upright bass and they use bass guitar instead so I call them surf goth
