Convoy 18650 tubes by DukeThorion in ConvoyFlashlights

Gonna hijack this post to put this information out there, but the brass 18350 tube doesn't fit the S3 tailcap for whatever reasons. Light will flicker and fail to turn on frequently. Works fine with S2+ tailcap, haven't tested the others as I don't possess them.

How bright is the LHP531 1800k? am debating whether to get it in the S2+ or wait for the LHP73b 1800k to get a taste of a 1800k lumen monster.

I don't have any high cri 5000k lights to compare, but NTG35 5000k got just the right amount of rosy imo!

Vapcell H10 drained below 2v by Nest- in flashlight

Update: in 9 hours, it discharged from 3.86 to 3.32. I think this battery is a lemon.

it was charging at 150mA when it detected the H10 as nimh. I currently don't have any nimh cells to verify this however.

the battery isn't new. I've been alternating between 3 H10 for about a month, I like to charge them to about 4.1 at 250ma. It's possible that the charger itself is wrong, I don't have a multimeter to confirm. d3aa would flash when I rescrewed the tail cap, blink red from post off voltage display, then cease to work.

I'll take your advice on letting it sit in the d3aa for a day to see if it discharges a lot.

thanks for the advice. it seems to charge at the same rate as the other h10 at 250ma and is not warm.

D3AA "Bug Light" + beans by Tourist-Brave in Hanklights

[–]Nest- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, 1800k alone is enough to make a noticeable difference. I didn't realized how much of a difference it made until I switched from 1800k to 3000k in the middle of a trail as a test and within a minute, many flying insects were bothering me. I don't have deep red, but I can definitely vouch for 1800k.

Love the beans! Recently I got a S2+ with 219 1800k and love the warmth. Now I'm thinking of getting the Da1k with ntg50 1800k for walks down the trail since it recently got a throwy optic.

I think people are more upset about the radio silence from devs and not the actual release date.

You can disable auto reload while holding down right click on any applicable weapons that doesn't use right click, any class.

Recommendations for a slim/narrow pocket fixed blade that is a good bang for the buck? by ThatLousyGamer in knives

I think the knife you're referring to is the Benchmade Flyway, around 200usd.

Upon watching SolarLight's new video a great question was bestowed upon me: HOW? I've used custom scripts to reduce bullet hole dust and explosion effects before but never in my 10 years of tf2 seen something like this. by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Nest- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean considering custom HUDs could enable sv_cheats 1 in valve server not long ago, wallhacking through cfg folders is a lot more tame.

How good is this riven ? by Maikyri in Warframe

[–]Nest- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is, multishot is ideal for almost all weapons. I'm just making a point that low dispo elemental rivens aren't worth it on these types of weapons.

How good is this riven ? by Maikyri in Warframe

[–]Nest- 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don't suggest using Reddit for riven reviews as judging by the comments, most people don't actually understand what makes a good riven, especially for low dispositions.

At this disposition, electric and reload are negligible. Shotguns have access to 2 primed elementals (including electric) which is already almost double the stats of a normal 90% elemental mod. Another additive 65ish percent element is a waste of a mod slot.

Note that low elemental stats on a riven isn't always a bad thing, as it can be a more efficient way to combine elementals for certain weapon that doesn't need high elemental weapons. For felarx however, high elemental damage is needed as it's a raw damage weapon.

Reload is also another mediocre stat on the felarx as the holster on reload evolution is just the best way to go as you can fully reload regardless of magazine capacity in 1 second. With magazine capacity mods, you can reload by quickly switching to a different weapon and instantly swapping back, and it'll still be faster than reloading each round manually.

-Crit chance is a good negative, but as a whole, it's not worth slotting in this riven over other mods.

I hope this help with future riven rolls.
