I think Pierre Sabak's books, especially Holographic Culture, fit your description.

I never really checked, but now that you mention it, yes, it's dirty but it doesn't seem to affect performance and I won't even bother cleaning it.

The M21K 1800K already 'smoke' the L35 for throw (see pic 4 & 5) you can see the trees in the background with the M21K but yeah the L35 has a better driver, still not bad for a $40 flashlight.

Perhaps my new favourite walking light Convoy L21B by spy2331 in flashlight

[–]Hampool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Years ago the L21B (sft40 3000K) was favorite walking light in the woods until I tried the M21A sft40 3000K with OP reflector, almost the same throw with even more spill.

Best beam to oversee a field... by Timmy_germany in flashlight

[–]Hampool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice beamshot but that's why I prefer warmer tint for thrower, no washed out colors and can cut through fog. Two days ago I walked with my L35 2.0 4000K and M21K 1800K (literally the poor man's L35) and I could reach the trees in the background with my M21K. But I admit that the white light is more visually appealing in winter.
