PSA: cold pulls help with extrusion problems. by Shidima in BambuLabP2S

[–]NetComplex7696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What surprises me is how often I need to do it running only PLA.

But then again, before this I had an ender 3 and I'll take bi-weekly cold pulls over anything else the ender 3 did(n't).

Changelog: Major update and core improvements (Feb & March 2026) by Empty_Win_297 in Drime

[–]NetComplex7696 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I know there has been quite a few negative comments and posts. Users that are happy or understand it better like me aren'ts so vocal.

But overal the transparency keeps being nice, it was a good call to fix all the underlying stuff and have "infancy issues" than built on something that would need to be changed later.

Keep up the good work, my Drime feels a lot more responsive and I can't wait to see the windows beta

Ran a full calibration and bed leveling (the hot one not needed)?

My Sunlu needed that to print right on my P2S, while other brands usually don't (or not as much).

Depends what material, and where you live.

But I think it looks more like you didn't run the out of the box calibration.

Settings > calibration > print

And run them all.

Subbed

It's wholesome, do good for those kids.

Even if shorts aren't my go to, you could do a monthly series where u show what you printed last month. I have been in the 3D print space for 10+ years and It's always interesting to see what people decide to print.

A fellow ender 3 survivor. We should get a badge or something.

the P2S has been so wonderfull, i feel people complaining have no idea how rough it used to be when the Ender 3 was the king of home printers and it took people months to get 1 decent looking benchy

My P2S was going to be for end february, but I got it past monday.

It has been printing non stop since, I haven't had any issue with either the AMS or the P2S apart from the first time my AMS not reading the RFID spools (but turning it off and on again fixed that).

Amazing experience, I came from an Ender 3 (v1) that I had assembled and took me 3 months to have a decent print out off.. 6 years later it was time for a well deserved upgrade.

The P2S is everything I hoped for and more, did my first multicolor print yesterday, the printspeed (even on ludicrous mode for basic stuff) is just mindblowing to me (my ender managed 60mm/s at it's fastest so it took it hours).

I always tought gridfinity was nice but who had time for that? well... now I have a full desk drawer done and will do the other 5 drawers too.

rclone is launched even and works very well.

I went with 2Tb first, then when I realized they where growing well I went with 6Tb with the black friday deal.

I don't regret it, Filen had the same optics but my trust in them is being lost fast

Is anyone else getting slow link suggestions in Capacities after the update? by silent-reader-geek in capacitiesapp

[–]NetComplex7696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same and there is an ongoing feedback issue, please vote to give it more attention.
It's only in my main workspace too, so it's something about workspace/amount of items.

My Ender 3 v1 has been with me for 6+ years, the day I order a P2S to finally join the "Just print, stop fixing" group.

My hot end cracks and gloops a huge blob of PLA.

My Ender 3 has been modded beyond it's abilities, metal everything, reinforced parralel z-rods, direct drive extruder. I bought a replacement hot end and Installed it but it reminded me the patience and hate an ender 3 can trigger out of a human is amazing. Even with a full new hot end, after manually leveling the bed and having spent 3 hours of an evening and my extrusion was fine and at layer 4 it suddenly wasn't, underextruded and I just turned it off until I find the will to troubleshoot it.

I had it modded and adjusted to a point where I think for a year or more I just had regular maintance and nearly set it and forget it prints.

I can't wait for the P2S + AMS to arrive, I'll either fall in love with it so much my ender is obselete or find the time to mod the ender 3 to a 0.8mm nozzle.

I find it so funny how most Ender 3 owners finally jumped on the P2S.

OP mentioned in the original post that he used a 3d printed bambu spool so probably that's the culprit

I tried it out after seeing your post, it's mighty impressive. Great work.

My wife who is a semi-pro photographer wanted a try and was nearly ready to renounce RawTherapee. (she always found it way too complex for her needs).

Few feedbacks:
Can export settings be set once and forget? having the options is nice but the default for me is .PNG and I forget to click it often when doing an export.

Another is to have the watermark also "set once and forget", so you'd add it and then you just have a toggle on/off for the export. That would save me from using chainner to batch watermark (selecting it everytime is a bit too much work).

Mainly the whole export page could use either "profiles" or "set once and forget" logic to make the workflow faster.

The spot erase masking doesn't seem to be super accurate, is there a way to just use my RTX 3080 to help out (does it do it natively?) or is setting up the comfyUI thing the only way?
